About Me

Shy, quiet and mostly kept to herself, clysa Dragoone aka Cly is a sweetheart until she is crossed. Rezzed on August 1, 2010, she came into Second Life only to dance, have fun and make new friends. Working as Head Dancer and Host at the Velvet Manor Night Club, she never thought about modeling till now as her sweet little neko friend, Nickle Sparrowtree, got her active. Also, with the help of Anrol Anthony and Steve McCullough, she entered the UCWS to study modeling for the Class of March 2011. Cly now strives to make it through even through the hardest of challenges within the world of modeling. At present is running in three latest contests, "Ms Elegance", "Ms Sophistication" and "SL Too Sexy". Plus, she participated in three fashion videos to date. She also, looks up to those before her, and seeks advise from the top models, such as DebbieDoo Tigerfish and Laylah Lecker, whom she considered as her role-models and good friends. In the end, her passion will still be in dance, but is thrilled to be given this chance to open up and prove herself, making herself someone in the SL world with the help and thanks to all at CWS.

morning class
:::::::: Runway Confidence and Posing ::::::::
[11:02]  VeronicaLynn Parx-Bayn: One of the most important ways to be confident on the stage is to have good poses. It is important to be able to select poses appropriate for your styling. You need to keep in mind the theme of what you are modeling and what type of garments you are modeling. Don't get too literal or go over the top with a theme during a finale but it's a fun idea for weekly styling events and great practice for finales.
[11:03]  VeronicaLynn Parx-Bayn: When modeling swim wear you will be able to see most of your body, so you will want to chose poses that include every part of your body. Your arms and legs should be included in each pose. Remember this isn't a Playboy shoot and keep your poses tasteful. Do not include "porno" types of poses or lewd or suggestive poses with widespread legs. Picking stylish yet sexy athletic poses are best. Utilize the poses to how off your arms and sexy legs with class.
[11:03]  VeronicaLynn Parx-Bayn: Also make sure you pick a swimsuit that covers all of your parts. Breast should be covered and not "popping" out from the bottom of the swimsuit and frontal pubic areas should be COMPLETELY COVERED and not showing peeks because that is in poor taste to walk the runway confidently. Choose your swim wear to be sexy yet tasteful!
[11:04]  VeronicaLynn Parx-Bayn: When styling an evening gown or ball gown, it is important to remember that your legs will not be seen very much, or not at all depending on the size of the gown. Therefore, picking poses with lots of leg movement is not needed. You will want to focus on poses that have more upper body movements. Again remember to be tasteful and focus on the fact your modeling a formal gown.
[11:04]  VeronicaLynn Parx-Bayn: Do not select poses that are too casual, show armpits, or have lots of leg movement. You want elegant and stylish arm movements with this category and poses that twirl so that the entire dress is seen is important.
[11:05]  VeronicaLynn Parx-Bayn: For your creative stylings you can get more creative with poses such as dances, karate moves, and those sort of advanced poses, however, remember this can be risky in finale pageants. You never know what a judge will be looking for or how they may react to your creativeness. Sometimes going over the top is a great idea and can gain you points, and sometimes that may be viewed as too "over-the-top" and may knock some points off.
[11:05]  VeronicaLynn Parx-Bayn: My best suggestion is to go with your gut! If your very passionate about your poses and your confident with your ability to execute them without mistake then you may take that risk, otherwise, don't do "fancy" poses if your not positive you can make it work for you. These poses work well for the weekly themed stylings where extravagance is encouraged and can give also you the practice you may need in a small competition before you take on those poses at a finale pageant.
[11:06]  VeronicaLynn Parx-Bayn: After you have selected an assortment of poses suitable for your outfit, now comes the challenge of putting together a routine that shows a great fluid movement. I like to find combinations that go through a series of poses that show my entire garment. Meaning I use my signature move.......I like to begin facing the judges, then find poses that with succession I end up turning around to the other side. This is a hard thing to do, but I'll tell you my method.
[11:07]  VeronicaLynn Parx-Bayn: Please focus your cameras on me. I will now show you the difference between "good" poses and "bad" poses. I want you to learn to make a routine that moves smoothly, with no jerky poses!
[11:08]  VeronicaLynn Parx-Bayn: lets begin with some "bad" poses in combination together......
11:13]  VeronicaLynn Parx-Bayn: once u go throiugh ur poses on huddels once they get more smooth second run
[11:17]  VeronicaLynn Parx-Bayn: So, the first thing I do is open up all of the poses I want to use manually on my screen and line them up along the side. I begin with one front facing pose and then I click on each pose in succession until I find one that I like and moves my body in the direction I want.
[11:17]  VeronicaLynn Parx-Bayn: After I find the second one, I continue on until I narrow it down to a series of four that I like and moves my avy fluidly. I take these four poses and put them together on the side in the order I like them and now I know this is my poses for dot one. I continue on until I have a series for each dot I am required to stop on.
[11:18]  VeronicaLynn Parx-Bayn: Now that I have my poses picked, I load them in my AO/HUD and I write them on my default note card in the order that I have them lined up so that they are in order for each dot that I have chosen. Of course there are other methods, but this is the one that works for me, and I have had good results with.
11:19]  VeronicaLynn Parx-Bayn: then when I get a good combo of 4 poses, I put them in my huddels and make a notecard with the correct pose sname sin order

:::::::: Confidence in Finale ::::::::
[11:20]  VeronicaLynn Parx-Bayn: Confidence comes with your finale when you have completed all your requirements to the best of your ability. Only then can you go into a finale pageant truly confident. Lets recap what it takes to win it big on a finale!
 1) Biography- Needs to be concise and not too long. It also needs to be uniquely YOU and show your personality. Keep it professional and in good taste.
Write about the good things in your SL like endearing experiences, the love of your friends and family, charities you help or volunteer work you do. Leave out your BDSM private life, so to speak. Be congenial!
2) Pictures- Have them done professionally and accrue the cost. It's worth it! If you have amazing photography skills you may take your own, but don't chance it if you don't think your photos could go up against a professional.
This is not the time to gamble, also remember that your picture will be giant size up on the stage for all to see. ALSO, very important because this is what the judges will be using to pick a winner for Ms Photogenic. You want it stunning!
 3) Outfits- This is the most important area to make sure your at your best! After all, this is the main component the audience comes to see is the showing of the garments. Lets break each one down.
 a) Swim wear- This can be either a bikini or one piece. Remember to check your note from Anrol telling you what theme you need to have ready, or if there are any special requirements. To me, this is the hardest category to find something unique, but it can be done.
Search the grid for the perfect swim wear and remember just like RL, garments fit each person differently. Just because it looks good on a model, doesn't mean it will look good on you, so try it on if you can before you decide. I have been known to buy up to 10 swimsuits until I find the perfect one!
Make sure the suit flatters your figure and fits well without a "peep show". You want to to be tasteful, yet sexy. You can even search on XStreet to help your effort and it is recommended that your search begin as soon as you enter a pageant. It's never to soon to begin preparing!
b) Creative- This can be a challenging area to master. It seems as though finding a creative design that hasn't been done before is becoming difficult, but keep searching and try your best to think out of the box. This isn't the category to "play it safe" it's where you show your imagination.
This is also a risky category because beauty is in the eye of the beholder. One judge may love your idea, and another may not and their score may reflect this. The main thing is you have to believe in your outfit, and carry it well. Also let your description tell the story of your choice. Why you chose this, what it means to you, if it has any personal significance to you.
One sure way to make sure you stand out is to have your creative outfit custom made. This can also present a challenge to find a designer willing to do custom work.
This needs to be addressed very early in the competition as to give the designer plenty of time to work your garment and can also be quite costly. Custom work ranges in the thousands of Lindens, but will assure your outfit is a one of a kind, and won't be copied! This method is becoming more and more the recommendation of trainers and CEO's.
 c) Talent- This category is mainly used for Ms/Mr International because it is run like a Ms Universe Pageant, but Anrol is incorporating in more and more events! This area takes research and lots of practice to execute on stage. Again you want to be unique, and is more believable if its something you know about in RL. If you have a RL talent, bring it here to SL, if not, research a talent you would most like to have and practice, practice, practice to show your talent on stage.
The sky's the limit, but if your choosing a talent that requires a HUD or AO, make sure you have it in perfect working order and iron out all the kinks before you attempt this on the finale stage. Some have done different kinds of dancing from geisha to ballet, or skating, read poems (however this can get boring, so be careful) and even done talents specific to their native land which is great if you have that to represent.
d) Evening Wear- This is my favorite category and of course the easiest! There is a formal gown on every corner in SL and they are all so stunning and beautiful that choosing may prove difficult. The way I choose is to try to find a unique color and also how I feel when I put it on.
Some gowns just make you feel beautiful! You want to shine as you walk the runway and show the judges your star status. You should radiate inner beauty as well as outer so feeling beautiful in your dress is just as important as looking beautiful.
An evening gown is a full length gown and should touch the floor. Do not wear a cocktail dress. Choose something that will catch the audiences eye and make you stand out from the rest of the competition. Make sure it reflects a theme if there is one.
 4) Poses- This is very important in the finale. Judges want to see something exciting and they tend to like the animated poses that move you smoothly. Make sure you have put together a great routine and that you know your formation. Points are deducted with each mistake, and you all have been over this too many times to make silly mistakes by not following your assigned formation.
Make sure you have your poses mapped out for each dot so they flow with the order you set them up in your AO/Hud. Save your "wow" poses for in front of the judges. Use poses that follow the theme if appropriate to use.
 5) Question- Unless your in the top three, you will not know your question until Anrol ask it. Try to keep calm and always speak from your heart. Do your best to spell correctly and do not use a word you don't know how to spell.
Make sure you answer every part of the question especially when asked to Explain! Take your time, they will wait, but keep in mind people get bored and frustrated, so work efficiently to type your answer. When your done say Thank you, and begin your walk back so they know your done with your answer. Always be polite and gracious.
::::::HOMEWORK::::::::
 1) Write your Biography. Remember:
 a) write a little about your personal life
 b) write down how you got started in modeling
 c) write down your accomplishments
 d) what are your goals in SL etc.
 e) Information about your avatar
Incorporate what I have taught you about writing a bio! Please write it in the 3rd person as if Anrol was reading it "about" you.
 Here is an example.....
VeronicaLynn Parx rezzed into Second life on 11/15/08. She started out in SL working her way from a dancer, to a club and events manager at but her love of fashion, shoes and jewelry drew her to the world of modeling. In June 2009 she enter the Ms Hollywood Walk of Fame contest and that night she participated in the Styling contest winning 2nd place on her very first try! Ever since that day she has been working toward being the best model she can be at CWS!
2) Take your OWN Head shot picture and place it at the bottom of your bio.
 a) I want you to try to use GIMP to write your name some where on your photo!

Wow Busy Day: House of Europe Show and Fifteenth Day of Class

Been a busy day for me since the time of waking up today.
Didier Rascon Lavecchia
I over slept and ended up rushing to work since they needed a host at 1 pm slt, but it was afterwards that really got crazy.
Had to rush to get to a fashion show CWS was putting on for House of Europe, that is run by a fellow model, Didier Rascon Lavecchia. it was an amazing hour with wonderful outfits for both genders. I say Didier out did himself with these designs.
HoE Fashion Show
The models for the show were also amazing as they display each outfit. Those present were: debbiedoo tigerfish, nickle sparrowtree, sid korman, laylah lecker, lisana rossen, sakira mirabella, lopez fairlady, Tiffani Celestalis, LadySunfire Eiren, Lua Vendetta, Chloe Panthar, Nina Brianna.

Of course after the show several models from the audience were picked to be in the fashion video that will show in a few weeks or so. Five of us was picked to be in the video and they provided us with the outfits. Myself, Jaquline Kelberry, Sevrin Davidov, Uneeque Velinov and Vicky Yoshikawa, were picked this time. This would be my third video that I have had the chance to be in. Its a great privileged to be in such and I believe its more credit then any of the contests. Plus, what is really great that three from our March class got picked for the video which is great credit for all of us and that will be, myself, Vicky and Uneeque.

After the video shooting, both me and Uneeque had to hurry and meet up at class. We were a little late but made it in time. Sexy was also there but she left due to rl issues. So we joined up with Laylah and she reviewed over the blog information and then she talked about self confidence and how to surpass all our fears. its good information and knowing that we have each other as friends to help and support one and another helps a great deal.
